Confuse Windows XP You Running SP3 While Still Running SP2

Many people did not install SP3 from SP2 for a number of reasons. But much of Windows XP crucial update patch is available only for Service Pack 3. But with a simple registry tweak you can confuse Windows that you are running SP3 while still running SP2. Also some popular games can only be installed on SP3 but applying this trick will make it installable and still playable on SP2.

• Open Registry Editor by Start> Run>(type)regedit
• Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
• Double click DWORD value CSDVersion
• Change the data from 200 to 300 then click OK
• Clsoe Registry Editor and reboot your PC

Everything is done. To know if this work, open System Properties. It should show you running Service Pack 3.
